After trying to find all the parts local and for what it would cost on the internet, decided to go a different route: going to swap out the reservoir for the one used on the automatic and mount the GTO reservoir on the shock tower.

Does anyone have the part number on the brake reservoir for the automatic? I might just swap it out as well if the cost is not to great.

Hello all. Everyone's clutch reservoir looks great! I actually took it one step further and just got a billet one with a cap from some guy in Australia and it perfectly matches my black and silver muted underhood theme...

Just for reference, here is a picture of the 00-02 Camaro clutch reservoir I had on my 68 Chevelle... Looks very similar to the GTO one... May be an easier to get and/or cheaper alternative to the GTO reservoir?

Just thought I would share my experience with my clutch reservoir. I would change my clutch fluid out pretty regularly due to aggressive driving/racing. My clutch pedal started to get soft and wasn't coming back up like it should and it would get progressively worse the longer I drove it at any given time.

I changed my fluid and even bled my clutch for possible air in the system, but neither worked. I then noticed that the cap was not making a good seal with the reservoir and air would escape every time I pressed the clutch. I can only imagine that my constant unscrewing and screwing the cap back had an effect. It was unable to build any pressure.

I had to special order a new cap and reservoir since I wasn't sure which had the problem. While I waited for it to come in, I used teflon tape around the threads of the reservoir as a very temporary solution. I'm sure the brake fluid would eat away at the teflon, but I needed my car. After I did this, the clutch felt like new.
