Race car project.

Hey guys,

i got offered a really good price on a 96 lt1.. Im going to take up the offer and get the car in a week or so. I want to do a ls1 swap. The car im getting does not have an engine or a trans in it so it is one less thing i half to do. This will also be a gutted interior with a cage. I know of a few things i need to get so far.

LS1
T56 trans
Tubular K member
wiring harness
Clutch setup
radiator
ford 9in rear
misc hoses etc..

Id like to be turbo'd later on with 600-700rwhp.

Any knowledge on anything else needed, locations for the best prices etc.. Also if any one has any parts let me know. Im in Southern Maryland.

Thanks guys!

hop on over to LS1tech. You will find a ton of info there. If you have the money then your current build would be pretty nice. But alot of people go for a 5.3 motor and put on a turbo. Can make the numbers you are looking for plus the 5.3 blocks are cheap and easy to find. Glad to see someone else is MD getting a 4th gen!.

The Conversions & Hybrids section over there is a magical place full of great ideas as well.

4th gen forums over there as well are on-point. Great resource.
