FYI, If you find an Item on AMAZON that you like, and the price isn't as low as you like, add that Item to your wish list and the price might go down. I bought a pair Hotchkis front end links for $99. After I bought them, I told a friend and the price was back up to $199. I have an AIRAID CAI filter on my Wish List now, the price has gone down 20% in two weeks. I don't need it, I'm just experimenting...

Will this fit the V6 also? Beside trimming rear dust shield, will there be any other mods needed to make fit? Price seems great considering I see used Brembos going for similar prices.

They're overstock distributors so price will fluctuate with supply. Although the AC Delco part numbers can also avoid the GM part "tax" since you circumvent the middleman and go direct to supplier.

Isn't there some trimming required for this brake kit?

The backing plates, unless you replace those as well.

Left is Part # 126.62128CSL
Right is Part # 126.62128CSR
Tire Rack has them for $165 each
What made you go with those rotors? I was thinking about getting the ZL1 2-piece but drool over the RB slotted ones. I can't see spending $1000 or so! I don't think that's gonna happen.... hahaha

Any weight advantage with the StopTech over the ZL1 2-piece?

I'm looking to track the car about 3 weekends a year and plan to just change out pads between street and track use if the track pads squeal.

I went with these rotors because of the price and the Cryo treatment, which should increase the life of the rotor.
Once I got them I realized that they are not dual cast like the one piece Cadillac part. So the rotor is all iron and heavy. I haven't weighed them yet and I'm not sure I really want to know the weight other than you can hurt yourself carrying them around. These rotors are almost as big as the ones for the 12,000 lb brakes on the front of my dually.
The one piece Cadillac CTS-V or the two piece Cadillac CTS-V or ZL1 rotor will weigh less with the aluminum hub section.
When I bought the StopTechs they were a better price than what I could find on the one piece CTS-V Rotor by about $40 each, so I got the slotted and Cryo treated rotors for less than the stock one piece. It appears the one piece rotor price has now gotten lower than when I pulled the trigger on this.

Got the rest of my goodies today.....

Note the angle of the picture is making the rotor appear to measure larger than it is.

I looked these up on Amazon & noticed the rear calipers are 4 piston & look similar to the SS front Brembo's, so would they fit on the front of the V6's? If not I would definitely get the 6 pistons for the front over used SS/1LE Brembo's, as soon as I confirm they'll fit w/out major mod to do so.

No...The rear brakes on the CTS-V, ZL1 and SS all share the same caliper however the crossover tube and bleeders the opposite ends on the CTS-V second gen rears because of the forward mounting position. If you look at the SS you will see the rear calipers are smaller than the front.

Bottom line, no the rear calipers will not work on the front of any Camaro.

The total package for a CTS-V brakes set-up is still about double the cost of the SS 14" 4 piston set-up. You need to look at what you need the brakes for (looks, show, track ect) and decide what you want to spend. I would bet the 4-pistons are more than sufficient for most including auto cross and open track days.

Thanks for the info. On Amazon both front calipers & pin kit totals $525, new. I see used front calipers here sometimes going for $600. I would get new lines, pads & rotors anyway. I plan on piecing the kit together. Theses are a bit over kill for V6 though, I don't track just daily driver. But the V6 stocks look like staples with my black wheels, so it is more for looks.

something to keep in mind is the master cylinder. the SS and ZL1 master cylinders are the same, but the V6 is different
if you put front 6 piston calipers on a V6 car. it will need a lot more fluid than the stock calipers.
you also need to keep in mind that the brake bias will be changed quite a bit if you only swap the fronts. the car may or may not stop very well, especially in a panic stop.

If that's the only difference then all you have to do is swap sides with the calipers to get the bleeder back on top.

Well, guess I bumped the winky smiley and now it wont let me take it off.
