Retracting Negative feedback for Henderson Performance
Hello,
Back in July '12, I went and had my car tuned by Corey at Henderson Performance in New Braunfels, Tx. I did a full bolt on with cam, and did a lot of research on who I wanted to tune. I read countless positive reviews so figured I would give him a shot. Long story short, I was unsatisfied with how the car drove in the lower rpms. I know camming a car is going to decrease driveability, but this bucking was very violent. I chalked it up to, well, its a cammed car, this is life now. Looked up some people that have the same cam, and they all said their cars had very minimal to no bucking. I guess I got pissed at the situation, and instead of calling him and having him take care of it, I bashed him on this forum, which I regret doing. He got wind of my negative review and contacted me immediately. We setup an appointment to get the car in and checked out. I went in today, and man, what a difference. We drove the car around town and he picked up my issue on his scanner. Made a couple adjustments and car is running significantly better. Its not 100%, but I think its as close to 100% as this cam will allow. We found out today that the issue stems from different driving styles. When he comes up a light, he puts the car in neutral, so he completely bypassed all the bucking. When I drive, I let the engine slow the car down. I want to really say sorry to Corey for not giving him the opportunity to fix his tune. It shows what a great person he is to go out of his way to contact me, and get the tune straightened out. I highly recommend him for anyone that needs a tune or anything done to their car for that matter!! Adam

Nice of you to post this. Out of curiosity, what cam are you running? It's on my list of things to do.

Excellent post...all of us are guilty of engaging mouth before brain at times and your post clearly shows how a man should resolve it. Good on you!
Incidentally, what do they charge for a tune?

And that's basically a life time tune until you change something on the car. I've had guys come and visit 3 and 4 years after I worked on the car just to have me check things out. Unless I have to put it back on the dyno to make adjustments for some kind of modification, it's free tune support. I'm always happy to do it. And thank you Adam, you didn't have to post anything. It means a lot to me that you did.
