Master of the V6

Z06 owners?
I've secured my 1LT/RS for daily driver duty - and true to my word (ie: promises to the wife) I am not going to mod the hell out of it. Only a few things planned - mainly exhaust and suspension.
Anyway, for a weekend toy and I was considering the Z06. Up until recently I never gave the vette much though (I was a viper guy) but holy hell are new Z06's mean. There are several really nice examples out there for what I feel is an unreal bargin per hp/feature. Anyone here have one and care to chime in on the capabilities? Responsiveness to mods, any issues with theirs, etc. etc. Cheers! |

Z06 is a beast of a car if you want to blow 70k and keep it stock, If you want a 'toy' car, for the same money Id get an Ariel Atom that will run circles around the Z06

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

same as a z06. less power = less wheelspin except atom > z06

Ye cant go wrong with a 427 mah man. Great car, very good track-day or weekend car. Best part about it is the fact that it can absolutly wipe a Gallardo or F430 off the road.

I have a Viper and a C6 Z06. Two excellent cars, different purposes. The Z06 is more daily drivable, it rides smoother and is easier to get in/out of. Also doesn't attract nearly as much attention as the Viper, so that makes it less of a target to parking lot vandals. My Z06 went 11.55 @ 125 mph bone stock, so yes they are fun to drive. Quicker than the pre-2008 Vipers are stock vs stock. The '10 Camaro and the Z06 aren't even comparable in terms of driving experience. Camaro feels more like a family car, not a sports car.
