question about coilovers with drag racing
reason im asking is seems like they are geared more towards road racing, yes I understand that have the dampening adjustments helps. but, for the money wouldn't be ok to upgrade to dampening koni shocks, with a good set of drop springs, or even ride height adjustable coilovers; maybe im a little confused on how much adjustment you really need for a mainly street car only, with occasional trips to the drag strip.

It really depends on HP.A moderate level car doesnt need much, the proper alignment with stock component s work better than aftermarket parts and the wrong alignment.

You'd really only want to do coilovers if you're getting serious about it, but for drag racing you really want something that is adjustable in both compression and rebound.
Going with a stiffer spring than what are offered in standard lowering springs coupled with the adjustable damping allowing you to get the car transfer weight back, yet not squat is where the benefit comes in. Just another piece to the puzzle.. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
