newbie

I'm a newbie picked up my 13 2ss and so far I'm impressed...I traded my 2010 3lt vette in to get this...the Camaro needs a few mods to make it run better but so far wow! Ill be visiting daily to read how some mod the car...so far I'm thinking CAI, exhaust, tune, urethane sway bar bushings, strut tower brace...I took it to a muffler shop and had them remove the mufflers..next is the resonator....have a good day

mastergunner, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Just curious, I have a 2011 2SS and was wondering if you could clarify what you did to your exhaust. What did you replace the stock mufflers with, or did you just cut them out completely. What is the new exhaust tone like?

exhaust

curley. i had a billy boat bullet exhaust on my vette... a little drone but it was music.. so after looking under the camaro i noticed that it being chocked by the mufflers and a very large resonator.. i had a shop remove the very heavy mufflers. the used 2 1/2 pipe and welded the two new pipes in.. now i have a very nice tone without spending and arm and a leg.. i did that with 50 miles on the car... im driving it for a week to see if i want to remove the resonator... the muffler delete was $125.... now to equal things out i need to get a CAI.... ive been in corvettes for a long time.... but ive always noticed the camaros.... i have to say it is fun to drive... not sure if i will go as far as i did with the vette.... i may port my TB? i estmated the mufflers to weigh @45lbs so 90 lbs cut that quick...thank you for the welcome... let the modding begin! lol

I think you will like it. I went from an 05 vette to my 12 SS. So far I am really liking the car. I plan on suspension mods to get it to be a little lighter on its feet.
