I think the ZL1 is a nice choice over the Z28 because traditionally the SS was not offered in many years yet the Z28 almost always was. When the SS was offered it was always something special and it was always a step up from the Z28. I think Chevrolet using a little known name like the ZL1 is perfect. Nice job

Wow, as promised the announcement was beyond expectations and OMG what an awesome Camaro... The ZL1 badge is without a doubt most appropriate... In fact, and I thought I would never say this, the ZL1 Camaro exceeds the Z28 title and I can tell that much thought went into the decision. Let me say IMO you all "nailed it" and not only am I NOT sorry is was not announced as the Z28; I am really kinda glad. The Z28 title needs to be reserved for the 302 heritage equivalent, this new ZL1 is by far superior and I agree is closer in heritage to its successor.

.........So the mystery has been solved..............

The 'automotive legend' has been named............

And it appears that all is well in Camaroland!

Yes - there are a few that are upset --

.........but the majority seem to feel that this 'new' Camaro is a nightmare to the 'mares' from Dearborn..........

-- there is an inherent feeling of wellbeing in the Camaro camp..............

So...........

What have we learned?

Welllllllll..............

We have learned that "Team Camaro" has opened a 55 gallon drum of "WhoopA##"

We have learned that Camaro passions have never burned brighter!

We have learned that the Camaro Team feels very strongly about what they do.........

We have learned that the future, indeed, as Fbodfather has said many times before.......has never looked brighter..........
