The problem is that an LS7 crate motor is almost $17,000. I know that some of the wheel upgrades are $5,000, but that's a lot of extra to cover. Banks generally will finance a % over the value of the vehicle. You might be able to work it out, but you'd need to sit down with the finance guy at a dealership. I'm sure that they'd want to be able to do this since it's in their best interest to sell you stuff.

would LSX be better than LS7 in the long run?

It'd be cheaper to just buy a used Z06.

I dont want a used car, period. i dont enjoy being cheap. the SS and "zl1" engines arent as appealing to me as the LS7 and LSX engines.

my plans are to sell my all original numbers matching 64 impala 2door powerglide canadian frame, my vintage gibson les paul, and some bike shit to try to rally up 15-20 thousand.

I built a factory numbers big block first gen, now i really want to build a high horse LS motor to be a street/strip car that can run on 91.

I want to build a motor for a new camaro during the time period of my warranty, once the warranty expires I want to put the new motor, trans, and rear end in.

I'm really starting to like the tall deck big displacement LSX 454, but would want to build it for forced induction, similar to how the lsx 376 is marketed.

I'd like to find out what I can buy from GMPP when buying my new car. What would be the best way to go about building a tall deck LSX for forced induction, not the high compression? and getting the dealer to be the one selling it to me so i can include it on the financing?

my ETA/goal from purchase is 1 month.

none of the options are really appealing to me, i think the 5 thousand dollar wheels are ugly, for that matter the majority of wheels i've seen on them are unimpressive. paying 500 bucks for some stripes seems like a rip off too, I want all of that money going to performance. I like the look of the 18" steel wheels, they just need a good center cap and need to be all black, no silver. I'm definitely going to put the zl1 fascia on it tho. SSX satin white is very tempting to try to recreate. I want as little options, but as much power as possible. no butt warmers, just displacement.

why dont you buy the LS instead of the 1LT? and save a few more thousands? i think they start at 22500.

thats my plan!

Finance:
1LS+LSX motor

I'll buy a strong enough rear end and trans when the warranty expires, but I want to cover the majority of a LSX build with the same financing used for the car (and a hefty down payment)

I want to know more for buying a LSX motor, like what rear end and trans would be best for a high horse build.

I want forced induction, I want the tall deck LSX, but I obviously dont want high compression. is it better to get the complete motor and change rods and pistons and drop compression for forced induction? or is it better to buy all the individual parts to build a tall deck LSX?

do any dealers let you opt out of the fancy wheels when buying a 1LT?

basically is there a way to get HUD and Console Gauges with steel wheels and safe a few bucks?

You only get HUD and console gauges with the 2LT or 2SS. You can get the parts and add them to an LS though. The gauges are very simple, they are plug and play, but with the HUD, you'll have to cut the dash and get a wiring harness... there's a DIY thread on here about it somewhere.
