Another random misfire on cold start.
My 2010 V6 reported a misfire about 12 months ago on a cold-start I took it to the dealer and I think they just flashed the ECU. (perhaps w/ a new file)
It happened once again 2 days ago, my CEL came on. I used a generic OBD2 program to read the codes. Since day 1 I have been using 93 octane and full synthetic Mobil 1 motor oil. No serious modding. I do plan on bringing it to the dealer so they can check it out. I have a feeling they will re-flash. When I am at the dealer is there anything specific that I should ask for? I think the random misfire is a common issue but I am a bit concerned. Anyone else out there taking any sort of cautionary steps to avoid such random incidents? Code:

Very common. I suspect your MAF may also be beginning to fail.
Swap in a new one and see how it acts. |

There is a re-flash for this.

Yeah I had the flash update. It only happened to me once though and hasn't since I had the update so not the most extensive study on it haha

Going to the dealer on Thursday. I hope they don't play stupid and blame it on the CAI or something. I have read several posts on dealers acting illiterate and stupid over such mods.
Good thing is that the when it first happened about 12 months ago I had the stock intake on so I know for a fact that it's not the CAI which is installed correctly by a professional.

So yesterday after dropping off I got a call later in the day and the tech said the car is throwing multiple error codes and I said which ones? He said all kinds of engine, body etc. I'm sure GM tools show much more than generic obd2 app I used earlier to get codes which probably couldn't see them.
So he said they want to clear all the codes and drive a bit to see if the car throws back any actual codes or CEL. They drove maybe 10 miles and called me today to come pick up the car. The docs they gave me don't mention any codes. Everything was covered under warranty @ 48 k mileage. I bought extended GM protection when I bought the car. He asked if the car actually had any type of water damage due to the recent hurricane (sandy) - told him no. Then he asked if I ever felt any mechanical fault such as shaking or less of power - told him no. I was told to bring the car back if I get a CEL again. I came home connected the obd tool and no codes of course and no freeze frame data. What is freeze frame data and when is it recorded?

So this morning on a cold start I got service stabilitrak w/ no CEL. Scanned for codes - none. Nothing in freeze frames. Drive around town for about 5 miles turned the car on and off 3-4 times no svc stabilitrak msg. This becoming a bit annoying now.
