Smile Hushmat!

I laid down the Hushmat today. It was a nice break from the normal work day.

Talking Interior Progress

Making progress on Interior with seats and carpet.

The rear seats shown here were hand made by Jay at Bear Nut Upholstery. He made them look very much like the Corbeau front seats. We had to make these to seats as the OEM rear bench seat would no longer fit because of the Roll Bar.

Awesome job, Jay!

Right now, they are loosely fit into place as we still have some work to do with the panels, audio and glass before we finalize their installation.

I had Bryan's team from Innovative Audio come out and lay down the wiring for the audio system before we put in the carpet and seats.

Cool Front and Rear Progress

Making progress on the front with the installation of the RS headlight assemblies. Fitted in the Detroit Speed electric conversion. Not installed yet as we still have to finalize body panel alignment as well as paint the stripe, color sand, and buff.

As for the rear, I wired up the Digitail lights and laid down the houndstooth mat and other cosmetic stuff.

Wink New Steering Column

This is the new steering column that will go in shortly.

It's a rebuild of an OEM column. The "plus" feature is that it's a tilt column.

You can see the steering wheel with it as well.

The new steering column is now in place. I'll post pictures soon.

The boys are supposed to be back tomorrow afternoon after a weekend of Formula Drift racing with Mr. James Guthrie.

Now that they're back, I'm hopeful that the 'ol (new) '69 will be running very soon!

Thumbs up It's Alive!!!!

We got the ol' '69 running yesterday! It's alive!!

I'll try to get a video posted soon (I've never done that before, so this will be interesting).

Now, it's the fine tuning. Then, off to get an exhaust system.

Unfortunately, the life was short lived. We ran into an ECU problem and had to send it back to the manufacturer to figure out what's wrong with it. It'll take a week to find out.

While waiting, I plan to continue working on the interior. Will keep you all posted with the latest developments.
