I assume you mean the plenum spacer? I have yet to see a dyno proving gains on the plenum. That and the fact that a lot of members have had hard times installing it made me not even get it.
I did get the ported manifold and that's easily the best bolt-on performance mod I've done to date. |

I think you mean ported intake manifold, not plenum.

I was told by a member that's what its called but I guess its called ported intake mainfold, what are the procedures and is it worth it? I'm thinking about getting the vmax tb for sure. Also one more question-what are the hp gains for a v6 that replaced its stock exhaust with ss full exhaust because I feel the difference in high rpms so I wanted to make the low rpms fast too

Not sure about the whole exhaust thing but I can tell you that you will be waiting awhile for your ported tb. I am still waiting for mine and it has been 7 weeks.

There's really no gain in exhaust changes. Maybe like 4-5 hp if anything?

If your looking for gains in HP ported intake manifold is the way to go and u will feel the difference. Ported tb is for better throttle response.

We have true dual exhaust with piping adequately sized for us so exhaust work doesn't really provide much gains. The real gains are from replacing the heavy stock piping ith lighter aftermarket piping.

The VMax iceolator installs between the intake manifold and the cylinder heads and it insultates the IM from heat soak reducing the heat app 30* plus F.
This is a 20 rwhp/25-28 rwtq gain with NO other mods. The ported intake manifold will give a bit more when used with it, and the plenim spacer gives no real HP gains but does reduce the amount of spark knock so it prevents some of the timing retard so maintains power. This is all on non modified 3.6LLT's with no tune. Tuning may help realize even more. |
