I hate marketing BS. They didn't just "learn" that the lower grille was more efficient or that an extractor hood releases underhood pressure. Unless GM is just full of completely incompetent engineers, they knew it a long time ago. They make it sound like aerodynamics have never been studied before.
They said the same thing about how the Volt's rear corner creases promote flow separation and then made it sound like the kammback effect was a new discovery that is a sole consequence of the Volt's blessed existence. Of course that was known long, long ago, but you don't even have to know that... because any monkey can see that the Prius had those shapes before the Volt did. If they actually did just discover all that then it's really not something to be bragging about, heh. Changing the grille textures for better airflow? Yeah, because that aerodynamic effect makes a huge difference in cooling this fiery monster. C'mon Tom, give your engineers some credit. They aren't that dumb, and neither is everyone else.

I parked my 13' next to a 14' both yellow and my opinion is this. My 13 is an ls with a ZL1 grill and I love the look. The 14' was an SS. Next to the 14 it looks a little dated. But mine still looks good. I do not like the RS lights on the 14 it looks like it has a lazy eye. I also do not care for the new yellow. I like my yellows a little darker like Rally Yellow. I think they changed it to separate it from the Corvettes yellow.
I do like the new hood and vent. The tail lights on the 14' are ok but I prefer the 13' much better. Overall I think having the 14' non RS front end on my 13' would look great. It would be the best of both worlds. |

as a matter of fact when I was at one of the dealerships there was this couple that were new to the Camaro world, and trading in a truck on a 1LT and they had the two different years parked next to each other for comparison......yep, they went with the 13', basically they said it looked sexier from the back, and more of a classic look about it. Now, is THAT hating?......nope, just another persons opinion and preference. Im not mad that I dont have a new one, however I am a little POd that I dont have a convertible..............yet (got my eye on a left over 13' 2Lt all loaded out)

Lmao.... I love the Retro stand alone look of the 10-13 over the universal and modern look of the 14 front and taillights ! Cooler??? LOL... yea, OK! Who uses cooler to described a muscle car !?? But I'm happy that the 14s aren't ugly!

A little slow! The camaro had the taillights before. Anyway GM changed the taillights because they wanted the Corvettes and Malibus to have the great taillights. lmao.. Just how great the vette is selling with the taillights y'all 14 lovers hate. But it's all good because I don't hate the 14s.

I could go get a new Camaro today if I wanted to, so that makes your statement wrong, and if I was looking at trading up, I would still look for a 2013 ZL1 new or used.. I went and and picked up a new truck and kept the camaro I have.. Win win for me...
