Wow I just figured I share a funny storie with ya guys, but I guess hateraid is the new drink.
You guys are right stock 4 stock it is a good race but I'm not. And your right I would never race family for pink slips, you can't win in that situation.

^^ agreed. A lot of guys on this forum can't enjoy a thread if there isn't some kind of argument going on. And it always seems to come back to statistics about the Camaro vs mustang or v6 vs v8. It's getting really old.

When the cars are close little tricks can make a win or lose. Launch, gearing, driver reaction and don't forget Psych-ing the opponent out.
My boss has a mustang and after some talk I let him test drive my camaro. We got out on a back road and I had him turn off the electronics and launch at 3500. The tires spun up and started to smoke with the car drifting around. After, he decided the camaro had too much power for him. Psyche |

Sorry, did not mean to insult the OP. And yes I agree about the driving. But the Mustang has the advantage with the same driver.
I was at Atco the other night with good air. There were two 2013 5.0s there, one auto and one M6. Both were dead stock and the 6M only had about 500 miles on it. Even with all my mods I could only pull a half a car on the M6. We were both running high 12s. The 5.0 auto was running consistent 12.4s at 113 mph. I did not get a chance to run the auto 5.0 but I wouldn't have had a chance. But even though the Mustangs 5.0s are faster I do not care, I still like my Camaro better.

Camaro's look so much better , I could care less if they win by a whisker in the 1/4, They can not beat them turning left or right ,And they get whooped on in design

With a perfect launch and perfect shifting, a stock 5.0 will do mid-12s.

Base, yes...and they are all season. The Brembo package adds 255 Pirelli P-Zero summer tires.

well thank god. lol. my friend had all this stuff done to his 2012 5.0 (boss intake manifold, gears, headers, catback, tune and he could only run 12.8 cause he was just sliding alllllllllll over the place in 1st and 2nd.
