Selling my Z/28.R to go into a new race class

Hi All! Selling my Z/28.R to go into a new race series. The car has been flawless. I have a ton of spares from BlackDog Speed shop including a brand new set rims with brand new PZero slicks, used set of spare tires, new rain tires, two sets of rotors, one set of calipers with custom carbon fiber parts to direct airflow to them, gearbox, transmission, carbon front quarter panels, and many other spares. I can help anyone that wants to come out to Arizona and take possession and do a track day free of charge at Apex Motor Club (private club) to get you familiar with the car from starting to tire pressures, etc.

Here is the listing from my friend's shop, Hubbard Auto Center in Scottsdale, AZ:

Very cool car, with an interesting history (and backend conversation; to where I adjusted my original comment). GLWS!

Well rats. I was hoping to get out to that track and check out that vehicle. My coin purse isn't big enough for another addition to my automotive family just yet. GLWS, what are you moving into?

Ok so in talking with other owners (including Z/28.R owners), I'll say that it looks like Stevenson and CKS built the originals, but there was also a lot involved there, and the ".R" can be very subjective based on various builds.
I talked with someone who was at SEMA in 2015 where they were told by blackdog this was converted to a Z/28R, much like the content says, BUT, with Z/28R being a subjective term, I'll say it was built out as that, so that it is now. Changed my original comment too...

Sounds amazing! I heard it was a stock LS7 in the description. I'm assuming the valve giudes were repaired? Any mods to the engine?

The motor is a blueprinted motor from General Motors for the series and is not modified. The car had a restrictor on it to run the Pirelli World Challenge. BlackDog Speed Shop removed the restrictor (comes with car) when I purchased it and you can see the dyno run video on my youtube channel (query Charlie Ferer). That is the beauty of the car. It is a solid LS7 with all the Z/28 components from A arms to brakes, rotors, etc. Suspension was replaced with Ohlins racing suspension.

Don't rain on the guys sale of a great car with provenance .

All these Camaro race cars start out as a body in white.

I would need to win a lottery to be able to afford that toy

Good Luck with the sale OP.

Thank you 102SS

Car sold to the owner of the sister car and is going to Texas where he races them at COTA. Perfect car that will be competitive at that track. Sold for $89k.

Awesome it went to a great home that’ll keep it on the track. It was interesting to learn some R history from your purchase/sale. Appreciate it

Glad it went to a good home!
But that was a steal for so much of a car and parts!

Yes, I bought it for $81k plus Bring a Trailer fees and freight to my house. So I was in originally for about $88k. Then paid about $800 for tune and restrictor plate. I also purchased a brand new set of wheels and tires that went with the car. So besides the spares mentioned it came with the new set of wheels and tires. But, I did get to race the car three times so it was a fair deal overall. Now just trying to find a clean Super Trofeo EVO to race. Should be some coming up once everyone get's delivery of their EVO2 cars this spring.
