'twas a super year..... Lots a good stuff happened for me and the family and I was old enough to appreciate what I had, but still young enought to enjoy it with a lot fewer aches and pains....

I never realized that The Matrix and Office Space came out the same year, doesn't it seem they should be like a decade apart? Or that it was such a great year for annoying pop songs, I'd list them but I trying to purge them from my memory ... again. That video also reminded me of how awesome TLC was back then. Not the R&B trio they kept showing (though thats what reminded me), but The Learning Channel. Junkyard Wars, Extreme Machines, no family-centric reality TV (that I can remember anyway)
By the way, who remembers taking an hour or two to download a song over dial-up? Quote:

Come a long way since 1999....I was in 7th grade, gas was 99 cents a gallon, the end of the world was imminent, the V6 in my parent's car made 170hp, putting it near the top of its class, and I was driving a bicycle. 4 of the 5 have changed drastically now, while some things always stay the same.
