I just don't get it!

I've been trying to find some wheels to put on my victory red 2ss and mostly I see black wheels available. Chrome wheels are apparently not the popular choice. I'm not critical of peoples choices at all but I must be a dinosaur(62) for liking chrome or highly polished wheels. Maybe it's hard to do but try to explain the black wheel thing to me.
Also there are so many brands and choices it has drove me nuts looking at all of them. And 99% of them I don't like.
I want 9.5's for the front and 10.5-11's for the back and I've about given up and I'm going to stick with stock wheels.

Get the original chrome dipped and have them widen.

The black wheel thing is a trend, just like Cragar SS wheels were. Times and tastes change.

Make chrome a comeback!

Correct, it's a current trend. There are certain groups of people that have taken a liking to (large) chrome wheels in the past decade or so. As a result I believe it killed the chrome look for most people. I love black wheels but on certain colors of vehicles

Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy S III using telekinesis.

Times and taste have changed. I still see a ton of chrome wheels out there on the roads. I Think it just depends on what theme your going with and the color of your Camaro. The Cragar S/S wheels are still my number one choice when it comes to chrome. Im still considering purchasing a pair just to keep and mount if or when I think the black rim thing gets old. Cragar's just speak American Muscle.

That's exactly why I kept my stock wheels. I have had TSW gun metal wheels on my car for over two years, but I know everything is cyclical. Eventually everyone will probably be trying to get rid of their dark wheels again for polished or chrome. Just like bell bottoms, everything seems to come and go... and comes again.
