Opinion on color combo---please!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered my 2LT in early May & still have another 2 weeks or so to make changes. I am starting to second guess my color combo & want to get some opinions!! Currently, I am scheduled for BLK ext, w/white rally stripes and IO interior. I'm also getting GFX, which I'm planning to have painted black, along with the optional high-wing spoiler. Here is my question: do you all think the IO interior will look OK with the Black/white exterior? I haven't seen any combination like that, but I'm worried it might be too busy with all those diff contrasting colors. Here are the choices I'm considering:

a) change interior to black w/white interior 'trim' panels .... OR
b) change exterior stripes to CGM (& leave IO interior) .... OR
c) leave everything as-is

As usual, I am having trouble 'visualizing' my color combo & have yet to see any pics that reflect this. I started freaking out about how 'orange' the seats looked in the pics I have seen---but most of the posters who have actually GOTTEN their cars with IO interior absolutely love it. I hate to change my order on the basis of online photos that may be distorted, but I also don't want to regret my choice. Any feedback would be appreciated!!

i think you should go with option (b). But that is just me. Actually I would add a (d) in there and say black ext/IOM stripes/IOM interior. That would look amazing

I thought about that combo, but for whatever reason, I'm just not diggin' the IO stripes on the exterior. Maybe I need to take another look at that again.... just to be "sure". Thanks.

I've seen pictures of the Arctic White stripes on a Black car and it didn't look "right" to me. Too much contrast.

Like bluch said, go with CGM stripes or IOM stripes. No matter what, leave the IO interior because it just makes the entire interior "pop."

Hmmm... 2 for 2 on the CGM stripes. Interesting how both of you think it's best to stay with the IO interior and change the stripes instead!

(a) The tuxedo style will look good but orange interior doesn't match. Too much going on. Get either black or grey interior.

we need a photoshopper in here... this is beyond me, i can't add a high-wing in photoshop, i've never found a good enough photo of it to work with.

i'm thinking A, but this is your car. ladiesman is right, white stripes do really jump off of the black cars, but i didn't mind the contrast too much.

i've never been a fan of the orange interior

I've seen pictures of the white and orange stripes on a Black Camaro.

I don't think white stripes with the orange interior would look completely correct.

I would go with the white stripes and gray interior or orange stripes and orange interior.

Honestly, the pictures I saw of the black with orange stripes and orange interior really impressed me and would be on my consideration list if I had it all to do again.

Not a fan of IO interior. If you MUST do stripes, I would do Black exterior with CGM stripes and black interior.

But out of the ones you listed I voted for black w/white stripes and black interior.

i would go with silver or gray rallies and not do IO interior, it doesnt match. If you go to post 341 on the delivered stickies you will see the CGM on my black car.

I have a Black 2SS with IOM interior and orange COWL stripes. I have not taken any pics since I put the stripes on but I will soon. Now wheres that camera at?

Black with black interior no stripes with black powder coated wheels and some dark tint.

BTW, notice how in the second pic the stripes look different colors? Well they are the same color and the sunlight affected the pic. I think some of the mismatched paint pics we have been seeing is due to the same thing.
