I posted over there too. Good luck. I'll be watching with interest.

I saw that... thanks for the post, as the more voices we have in that choir the better - for everyone. No doubt, they'll get it addressed/fixed, so purchasing a Predator could still be a good call for you.... it's just a question of what level of support you can expect to receive out of the box.

Bad analogy. It's not a question of having one bad product in a bushel of good ones. The Predator is sold as a device with full support for a litany of features, with the 2010 Camaro SS listed as a supported vehicle for said litany of features. Based on system updates, the Predator no longer supports the 2010 Camaro SS.... at least, until DiabloSports gets a new update released to return compatibility.

Should this issue keep someone from buying a Predator? Probably not, as DiabloSports will eventually get back to fully supporting the 2010 Camaro. Should DiabloSports' response to the issue (or lack of response) and customer service, etc. be considered as a part of the buying decision? Absolutely.

I do not understand where you perceive a lack of response on our part?

Lew is here daily keeping you guys in the loop, and I try to stop by daily as well.

We boldly posted right on OUR forums that we advised Camaro customers to STAY OUT of the dealership until we had an update to support this new calibration, and beyond that, I am not sure what else there is that we can do.

The new template has been created, new tunes are being developed, and a release is in testing right now to add support for this new calibration. We have been on it since day one.

Thanks
Mike

You'll notice that the 'lack of response' comment was parenthetic - since the situation may apply to some that are reading/monitoring this thread and not to others. Personally, I have found Lew to be an awesome representative for your company (smart move on Diablo's part bringing him on board) and Vass's telephone support is beyond reproach.

That said, the simple truth is that the 2010 Camaro community has been waiting through r10, r11 and r12 for support. In terms of releases that's three, we've waited through. In terms of time, it's several weeks... and in dog years it's gotta be something like six months (ok, I jest but the point is made.)

Hopefully, as you've stated publicly on the forums now, you meet today's target release date. If not today, then hopefully tomorrow... but from my view it's taken several weeks, and too many posts on this forum *and* the DiabloSport's forums to get to this point.

During this wait, I've gone from being patient, to patience waning, to now being the squeaky wheel... and it wasn't until the wheel started squeaking that positive responses started being received.

Could you have done more? I don't know, but it's a question that's easily answered with another question... is this your best effort, did you do your best? Remember, it's your customers that will ultimately decide.

Question...I have a virgin ecm. Never had it back to the dealer. I purchased the predator last week. Any chance mine will cause me issues. It's a v8 and it sounds like alot of you have v6 because your talking about disabling the AFM. I have no intention of having a reason to have my ecm reflashed, especially if I have to bring it in for service. My camaro has a vin in the 12,000 so it was fairly early on.

You should be fine at 12,000... also AFM is on the V8 Auto.

Sounds harsh to me. I'd rather the engineers take their time to make sure and get it right the first time before letting me download it to my device. To me, rushing an update to market is asking for worse repercusions should it fail or have bugs in it. I've seen the Diablo guys all over this forum and their own forum (and other forums I'm sure) putting the word out about the issue and that they were working on it. What else are they supposed to do...run an ad in USA Today or purchase TV time for a public announcement? This is just my opinion but I don't see the infraction on their part to deserve the harsh criticism.
