Just gotta wait till the incentives you qualify for overlap a bit and go new. Some places are still asking MSRP or more for used compared to new. I saw an LS with cheezy looking aftermarket rims that they wanted $31000 for. HA!

I got my new LS for the price of a 2-door Cobalt!

GM Card is a good way to go. I've used earnings from that thing 5 times now and saved $7,150 total. Not too shabby. Got the LS Camaro for $4500 below sticker and got my Colorado for $7500 below sticker. Woo Hoo!

I don't think your going to find one for 10k under a new one. I have seen used ones selling for more than new ones here in Texas. If you can find that deal take it. Good luck.

I bought a used SS about a month ago, and it only had 4k miles on it. It was like brand new, and i saved alot of money. Glad i went that route, let someone else take the hit!

To order, You get exactly what you want, and no bozos have ever taken your car out on a "test drive". But you will take a hit on the depreciation if you decide to sell

To buy off the lot, You get a "New" car, but you don't know how many BOZOs have taken it out for a little "Test Drive" and driven the snot out of it before you get it. Plus you don't get to chose what it has on it you just take what they got, and you will still be the one to take a hit on depreciation.

To buy Used, You don't take a hit on depreciation, But you don't know how the car has been treated, those 4,000 miles may have been 1/4 mile at a time....Again you have to take what they have and have no choice what options on the car...

So any way you go there are advantages and disadvantages, so you just have to decide what is most important to me...

There is a certain sense of pride when you order your own. I don't think you will get that if you buy off the new lot or used. Just my $.02 I'm certainly glad I ordered mine.

Order one, make sure it is yours and yours alone... end of story. cause if you buy a used one or one of the lot, well think everytime you get behind the wheel you are driving someone elses baby, so it will never be yours.

Hey Doc,

If you're patient, good optioned used cars with a nice price do come up but dont last long, so be ready to move, keep in mind when going to look at a used Camaro that the US Speedo's max out 180..... that unit will be a US car so watch the price because these dealers ( used car and GM) are getting a steal on them down south.

I'm in the same boat so thanks for posting this question up.

Good Luck!

Mark
