The computer program a GM dealer uses to input an order. You can't get one. . It opens for orders of the ZL1 the 3rd.

2 different programs for workbench, one starts the 29th, the other starts on the 3rd

I do not work at a dealer... Some family members work for GM. Not me tho... I've been around my dad when he's bought and ordered a lot of cars. When I ordered my camaro in may 2009 I asked a billion questions and made friends with my salesman. He's the actually the new car inventory manager who places the orders. I've bought a C6 and my Camaro from him. I ask a lot of questions and did a lot of homework back when I got my SS bc I didn't want to get screwed like some of the R6P guys with allocation and what not. I learned the whole system inside and out. Lots of reading on here and speaking to ppl that actually know like Scott and John Fitzpatrick. I know how to read through the bull when someone is posting something bogus because I know how GM works... There is so much bad info out there, either someone who wasn't aware of the system or never been around it... theyd be lost...

I don't know anything inside, just how the system works and how to analyze the info given to us.

Right now the key date is the 24. This is the date (apparently) the webinar starts... Maybe they get their allocation schedule that day... maybe not. Allocation is VERY important!

Remember... Per Becky's post, the 29th is "quick order" and the 3rd was "traditional"...

the difference. She (Becky) said no real difference but I'm not 100% sold on that answer... There has to be SOME difference...

My assumption is that the quick order on the 29th gets your "basic" order in the system and puts you officially in the "line". Then, the system that opens on the 3rd perhaps allows them to include all of the available options and constitutes the customers complete order.

Just a guess.
