Any pics? Is the end toward the back of the car a full 3" in diameter? Were you able to cut and clamp with the 2.75" sleeves or does the size difference require welding?

And finally, where did you cut into the stock system to match up to the 60606?
Thanks in advance...!

Thanks for the update and glad to hear that you like it. Any issues with fitment that you can share? Pics and sound clips would be much appreciated.

Borla 60606 is 2.75" all the way back, as is the stock exhaust. Follow the directions for cutting to fit the Borla axlebacks and you'll be fine.

Back of car is 2.75 as stated. I cut and clamped mine. Works just fine. Installed yesterday

Used this to cut

Used these clamps

I have no CEL. Yet anyways. My car is 6 speed so no afm.

Thank you gentlemen! And enjoy your new systems!

I am still kinda hoping Borla will bring to market a simplified 2.75" 2nd cat delete that just requires replacing the top 2 pipes and bolting to the existing system and doing away with cat #2, followed by a cut to the factory system and sleeve clamp.

David Borla seemed to commit to this "discount" way of enhancing the stock NPP system for competition use or states not yet requiring the 2nd cat.

Any update Borla?

How does it sound with the NPP compared to the stock X pipe with secondary cats?

Would like to see the Borla 60606 installed, especially the front and rear connection points. Thank you!

Front connection is just like OEM. Rear connection uses two Vibrant style butt clamps. Pictures can be seen in this post:

Wow to bad the factory didn’t do that! Thanks for the link, that’s exactly what I was looking for!

Ordered the 60606 and the clamps suggested by OP and installed it today. Very happy with the setup and sound. Agree with OPs assessment of the deeper growl and more snap, crackle and pops. Definitely the results I was looking for.

Installed my 60606 over the weekend. I had already cut the stock exhaust to install a "crush-pipe delete" and hoped I could avoid further tailoring of the stock system. I removed the crush delete and rest of the stock system.

When I measured I found I'd left right at 8" of pipe from the body of the muffler on both sides (Borla instructs suggests cutting just 7" out from the muffler body for their axle-back installs). Hoping to avoid further work, I made sure every connection was as deeply connected as possible and when it came time to add the final length of the Borla X pipe I actually had a 1" gap from the end of 60606 and the stock NPP!

The sleeve clamps mentioned by the OP are 3.5" wide, so I marked off a 1.25"of pipe for each side and tightened it down. It's working like a charm, but I was glad I didn't have to make due with a 1/2" less pipe on either side.

Just a FYI for those looking forward to this DIY mod.
