A couple of things I've found out that hold me in better than just the OE 3-points that probably fall somewhere between the 3-points and a proper harness: A separate lap belt that does not slacken - this has passed muster with respect to not having any rollover protection. And learning to relax. Muscle tension that lifts weight up off the seat cushion or tenses your torso forward at all becomes counterproductive at some point.
