Emissions Question???

One of my dealers told me that if the full specs are on the GM order site by Saturday (which it should be) that they would be able to enter my order Saturday. The dealer is in NC and I'm in MD, he stated that "We may need to order with Northeast emissions" does anyone know what this means? and if it will cost extra getting a car from a different region of the country?

On another note, is this combination possible?

A SIM ZL1 with a sunroof, no stripe, with exposed carbon fiber insert? what color will the exposed carbon fiber insert be?

MD adopted California emission standards a few years back.

Do you think there will be an extra cost for the NC dealer to order it with the emissions for MD?

I'm not really sure. I'd be kind of surprised if the vehicle wasn't 50 state compliant.

Any idea about Texas? Are they on the californian emission standard too?

Look at the pictures of the Ashen Gray ZL1 convertible or the roof of a ZR1 Corvette to see what the exposed Carbon Fiber hood insert will look like. Basically, it looks like Carbon Fiber.

Exposed carbon fibre is black & grey in a carbon fibre weave pattern.

These are the states that adopted the California emissions standards.

Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia.

However, GM cars are primarily 50 state emissions certified. I'm not aware of any GM product that is not currently 50 state capable for emissions.
