mine has a tune and its firmer than any shift kit could ever be , you can also have say sport mode tuned uber firm and regular drive left bone stock

yeah that's how they made my trucks 4l60e tranny shift harder. upped the pressure on the tranny lines and it shifts hard. sometimes it'll chirp 2nd in an auto(my trucks slow, so doing that is def. doin somethin)

what did everyone tune up to firm shifts? there are a few different adjustments.. I didn't want to turn pressures up too high.. just wondering how high guys were going.

Yea, how does firming up the shifts affect the tranny over the long run?

I was told that when the trans shifts soft it's because it has a little slip built in it. That's why they used to be called slush boxes. So if it shifts firm with more pressure and faster shift times it should last longer because it's not slipping. I have a 4L65E in a truck and my shift time is .25 of a second, I used to have it at .1 of a second, but it was always barking the tires. I hear there are a lot more tables on a 6L80E, and that should be since it has more gears.

.1 second, half the time a GTR takes to shift
