They need to have it in SONOMA so that you can stop by on the way to Hot August Nights! August 1-3 falls on the weekend after NHRA @ Infineon and the weekend before HAN 2013.

If I remember correctly the F1 race was originally scheduled for August but moved to November because of the heat.
