2014 zl1 front end

Does anyone know why they didn't change the front of the 2014 zl1?

I thought they changed the 2014 LT, LS, and SS front ends for more air flow. So how does not changing the 2014 ZL1 front ends give it more air flow? It should have the same amount of air flow as the rest of the 10-13 Camaros since nothing was changed in the front. That makes no sense at all.

Let me further explain myself. Since more air flow makes NO sense on why they DIDNT change the zl1 front end.

Here's the 2014 z/28 with the change front and here's the 2014 ZL1 WITHOUT the new front end, BUT the rear of it WAS changed over.

I am just repeating what the factory experts say although I do agree.

Ah yes I see more air for the inter-cooler and for down force thru the hood openings.

I'm glad they didn't change the ZL1 front after 2 years. It's unique and it should not be changed imho.

The ZL1 was designed in the wind tunnel for optimum downforce and GM didn't want to disturb it with the change. There would be and added cost for GM to take it there again. I read it when the 2014's were released with the new front end and it was mentioned about the ZL1. The rear end change wouldn't have affected aero on the ZL1.

There is something different about the grill on that ZL1 in your photo!

Requires more air than the SS. And thank god that they didn't, because (no offense) the front end of the 2014 models looks awful! Don't care what anyone says, but the halos are so sick looking and now they are smaller and don't look nowhere near as good!

I personally like the current 2014 ZL1 look over the other looks. I think the duel lamps mounted over each other, is a better more aggressive look.

It's more than just more air to cool the engine, more than to lessen lift and create downforce, although those are probably the most obvious, don't forget it's also designed to direct air to the wheels/brakes for cooling as well as help duct air under the car (with the help of the belly pan and other structures) and direct it to help cool the transmission and rear end, etc, etc.
