Love the LFX. My 13 pulls like a freight train, and I think they did a very good job with the M6 tune. Unlike many stick cars I've owned over the years (all V8's btw), this car has no lag when shifting into 2nd - 3rd, and the revs come back up. In fact, there are no dead spots on those shifts at low-medium throttle, the car just jumps, and stays in the power, pulling strong without having to feed the throttle. Very satisfying!! I have had more powerful cars that did NOT behave that way......prompting more throttle around town, and occasional embarrassment in traffic. (nothing like mini vans out accelerating your 5.0,......all the time while putting around)

I also like that the rev hang on shifts is not ridiculous. The revs drop, as they should......resulting in a more traditional feeling, and better sound as well.

I am very pleased with the AY6 too. I have owned many a gearbox (GM & Ford) and this is pretty darn good. I would prefer a little stiffer clutch, but, that's me, and I am likely in the minority. Love this engine.

Very pleased with my LFX also... Had a V8 mustang before and didn't mind the v6 on this car. Agree about the weight issue on these cars though they are in need of a good diet. Would be a rocket ship if it lost some pounds

Love mine!!

I really like my LFX. It's just a nice car. Man, if it was only about 350-500 lbs. lighter

I think this car is pretty darn fast. Let me list the following cars I've owned (all V8's) that my 2012 V6 is faster than:

-1979 Z28 (auto)- not even close
-1982 Z28 (auto) -not even close, Part II
-1985 IROC 5.0 H.O. (5 speed) - Ran a best of 15.3 - really liked that car
-1990 Mustang LX 5.0 (5 speed) - close- ran a best of 14.4 (my V6 ran a best of 14.1 on a very hot Florida day)

Not faster than (yet):
-1968 327 Camaro RS (275 HP-auto) - Ran a best of 13.9 with headers, MSD and some other mods. It ran in the 12's with a 125 shot of nitrous. Loved that car.

Plus the creature features, Bluetooth, good gas mileage...what's not to like for under 25K.

Love the LFX... first off the bolts on's are easy to do and 2nd off Chevy did a great job all around making a nice engine that gets great gas mileage and has the performance when needed.

Now for some FI!!!!

I am falling in love with the V6 again. I had a 3.8 Supercharged in my regal GS and that car was a blast to drive. Then I upgraded to the 5.7 V8 in my WS6 (I loved that car, part of the reason I got the Camaro). Then I got a 5.3 FWD Monte Carlo SS. It was nice, but I missed the sporty-ness of well a sports car. So I have a 2012 2LT for a full week now and I still haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face.

Car is awesome... but it is fairly easy to get maxed on all of the bolt ons. I only have the exhaust left to do. Damn wedding this year is sucking up all of my money lol. Couldn't agree more that it needs to lose weight. Imagine the increased performance and gas mileage with less weight. I got nearly 32 mpg with my mods on a 225 mile trip each way through western PA turnpike (Which isn't necessarily flat) Granted I was only doing 70ish most of the way due to the other people I was driving with (Couple lowered trucks with major camber issues couldn't go very fast because they were afraid to trash their tires. Which they did lol)

I love my car and the V6... but the V8 sound keeps calling... perhaps there will be a used SS in my future because I cant stand the 2014 taillights. FI is very tempting also... I love turbo cars

Look the lfx is nothing to shake a stick at it a very strong motor with the manual 6 speed that I had I loved it I put a blackwing intake on her and it woke up a bit she was fun very fun I didnt have all the bells and whistles as u would get from a 2lt rs but didnt need it .chevy hit a home run with the lfx other than the oil ingestion problems with direct injection engines there will be plenty of room to make more power remember when your 350 sb in the 70s made 230 crank hp this v6 makes 323 hp. So have fun drive safe ...
