Transmission dip stick?

Where is the Transmission dip stick at on the 6.2 auto. I was cleaning my engine bay and I could not find it. I know it's probably right in front of my face.

There is no dipstick. There is a plug in the transmission that is used to check the level. The owners manual recomends going back to the dealer to have it done but I do remember someone on here doing it them selves but can't recall who it was.

They are sealed transmissions. With the synthetic fluid they use, and the low temperatures the fluid sees, they tranny's are good for life. You should never have to worry about it unless you are an everyday racer. They don't want you to check something that needs no maintenance.

I remember seeing somewhere a kit to add a dipstick and tube to the transmission. Can't remember the company though.

Lokar makes it. Part # TD-36L80FM.

Once the warranty is up I would install this, drop the pan and modify the original drain so it would be a real drain. Tranny should be serviced (fluid and filter) every 50K if severe use and 100K for normal use.
