H pipes are a must
I just listened to a whole bunch of videos on youtube of h pipes and x pipes, and h pipes are definitely meaner, deeper, and throatier. Are any companies going to make a system with these?

You can't just go on the sound what the Xpipe or Hpipe will give you. You have to know how it will sound with your type of muffler. In one of my older cars, I had an xpipe with Chambered mufflers and it sounded like crap .. put on an hpipe and it sounded pretty good. Last car I had I put on an xpipe with straight through mufflers and it sounded better than the other car with the Hpipe and chambered mufflers ..

Most aftermarket true catbacks will likely include X-pipes; at least the ones I've seen up to now. I don't think H-pipes are as desirable nowadays.

I still prefer an H-pipe on most setups. GTOs sounded a world better with a custom weldin or midpipe from StolenFox. I wish a StolenFox H-pipe was available.

as a "general" rule, X pipes make more power, and "generally" H pipes sound better.

and that power usually varies 1-5hp, which I can live with in making my car sound better.
example with h-pipe:

Find someone with a GTO as Jinx said and listen to the Hpipe in person. You will not care about that 1-5 HP. It sounds that MUCH better.

i know it comes stock, but there isnt anything available in a larger diameter, high flow catted or non, made to fit LTs or larger diameter catbacks.

Well, I could swear I remember the SW and Borla systems having X-pipes matching the 3-inch fore and aft pipes. I think the Texas Speed one does to; I'd have to go look, but I'm sure most companies will come with bigger pipes.
