stop radio from turning off by itsef?

I've been annoyed at this for the past 3.5 years I had the car and just now bothered to ask about it. Everytime I'm just sitting in my car with the car turned off and the radio on, the radio turns off by itself after 5 (?) minutes? I have to reach over and push the power button to turn it back on. Whenever I'm washing the car or detailing the inside I always have to stop what I"m doing and turn the radio back on. Is there anyway to prevent this or maybe increase the turn off time to 30 minutes?

Is the key in the run position or off?

With the ignition off, the radio will auto shutoff after 10 minutes (User Manual page 6-4). It is not adjustable that I'm aware.

Is it that difficult to put the key in and turn it to ACC? Problem solved.

You can solve these issue by connecting both the red and yellow wires from the radio to the constant wire from the car connector which I think is the red cable in the car connector.. sorry if I'm wrong.. but I know there is two. One constant and the other acc. If u connect both red and yellow from radio to the constant one u will have the radio on with no key on.. I might warn u that it might run ur battery down.. I say these because it happened to me in my old car. However, prior to that time I always had my radio connected like that to be able to operate with the car off and no key and never had a problem.
