This isnt centered on the Games, but I have an issue with the BC Gov forcing the paramedics to stop they're working strike. Even though they were still doing they're jobs just so it doesnt look bad for the tourists.
As a first aid attendant I've had to deal with some nasty situations, and waiting 30 minutes becuase the only ambulance on is in tawassan on another call is BS.

As for the games, I'm working security right next to the O-Zone, so it's going to suck for me personally, therefor I have a bias and wont comment on the games as a whole.

Others have an issue with many groups being seen as using the event as a means of

" black mail" to get what they want.

Here's my complaint.

YOU ****ED UP THE LIGHTING CEREMONY! Of all the parts of an opening ceremony to fudge, you fudged the most important part.

This is one of the many reasons the rest of the world seems to think we Canadians are borderline retarded.

1 death, botched opening ceremony, cancelled main events because of weather and now riots in the downtown. Its the Winter Circus not olympics lol. I sense canada will never get olympics again. lol

Well they were arrogant to believe that the lower mainland has proper weather for winter olympics.

We dont, our weather is far to unpredictable.

Plus everyone is going to believe due to the opening that all we have up here are igloos and natives.

That's exactly what my wife & I said...they could of done a bit more.

That said..we will be getting GOLD for sure...it was too close for Jennifer Heil (SILVER) on the Moguls.
