Are you going with the BAP or ZL1 fuel pump....... or both ......... or a combination there of.........., or a larger upgraded fuel system

The normal kit comes with a BAP if im not mistaken, but the tuner kit does not.

The tuner kit does not, your right. According to my tuner, he will just go with a BAP. Since it will be the stock pulley.

I have a lot of confidence in my installer/tuner. But, I have to say I am disappointed in my numbers. I had 420 RWHP before with headers, cold air and tune. Now with SLP tuner kit, stock pulley, BAP, F.A.S.T. injectors and dyno tune, Car made 500 RWHP and 507 RWT. I just don't understand. Those numbers were given to me over the phone and I have not talked to my tuner yet. I pick up the car tomorrow and I may change my mind on the disappointment once I drive the car. I'll update later. Just can't believe only 80 HP rear wheels with a supercharger. Ugggg.

Sounds normal.

Pulley it down 1-2 sizes and it should do mid to upper 500s. Stock pulley on Maggie/slp/etc is typically ~500rwhp range.

He said stock pulley so I assume that is the 4" or so it come with.

Makes me laugh when local shop here tells people they are making 700hp on 3.8 or 4.0" pulleys with stock rears. You can pretty much tell what a blower is going to make based on how hard it is being spun. A blower being spun at 500rwhp will make about that. There isn't a magic 200hp hiding in it unless it comes in the form of n2o.

3.85. They never quoted me HP numbers. I was just hoping for 550 or so to the wheels. Seems 80 more to the wheels than what I had isn't that much. Next year I will have to do more research to find out how I can get the HP numbers up there a bit more.

Depends on the sc. A whipple can make a ton of power. But you did say blower. Still the new heartbeat is supposed to make a lot.

Also, OP don't be so focused on dyno numbers. They are made to be precise not accurate. And wait till you drive it. Be careful in the rain.

What?

Yes you can make big power on a lot of blowers, but not when pullied for lower power. You don't make 700hp on a 500hp pulley is what I was saying. A stock 4" pulley on a maggie makes ~500rwhp. if you want more, you turn it up.

That would be the standard pulley and all you can expect out of it so I would say they did a good job.

If you want to up the power you will have to Drop the pulley size to 3.6 or 3.4 for use with CAI and Headers which will bring you closer to your goal.

I make the pulleys for the SLP superchargers all the way down to 2.8.

I will caution you that fuel pump upgrade is necessary for anything below 3.8 pulley.

I suggest the ZL-1 pump and ADM controller for up to 650 RWHP.

Ted.

My mods are in my Sig. I'm running the stock E-Force 3.75 pulley. Before adding the S/C I had LT headers, ported intake and tune, which gave me 414/rwhp. Then adding the S/C, 72# injectors and ZL1 fuel pump I got 546/rwhp.
That's a gain of 132/rwhp.

Got it back tonight. Even though the numbers seem low, I changed my mind on the disappointment. It's awesome! 507 rear wheel torque gets the car goin, and traction is some what of a problem. And yes, it's quiet but I can hear it when I stand on the gas. Why the numbers are "low" is because I'm loosing some boost with the long tubes and cold air. Fine with me, I wouldn't change it. I talked with my tuner and we discussed that later, I could go with a smaller pulley and make 50 or so more HP to the wheels. Probably next summer after a new clutch. He also mentioned that the stock clutch did not slip at all on the dyno. I'm happy................for now!

Perfect example of getting caught up in the numbers game.

500 RWHP is no joke especially with the amazing low end torque the supercharger produces.
