Arrow Michigan goes back to gravel roads

http://jalopnik.com/5291178/beleague...o-gravel-roads

Quote:
The cost to grind down busted asphalt and replace with gravel is $10,000 a mile. Repaving? $100,000. Explains why many financially-strapped Michigan counties are converting paved roads to gravel in lightly-traveled areas. Also, residents can't afford cars anymore.
Time to find a used WRX or Evo, rally-time!!!

And Michigan's new state religion will be..Amish.

"Timea to eh harvest the fields 'dere Jebedaiah.."

And yes, it's that bad. You replace shocks and coils more often than the oil in your engine..

I love Michigan. Our roads are TERRIBLE though!!! I want to see what SS owners with the 20" rims think of the ride here. Good thing they put IRS on this car eh?

Driven an SS on US131 and christ on a cracker, not only was it a bat out of hell, but we almost "duked" it a couple times. Could still feel the road though, but that's Michigan for ya.

At least its proven to make it through Michigan snowstorms as indicated by CTF torture sessions.. Unfortunately after i post this, I'll be on the road toward Battle Creek for class, and REALLY FLIPPING ENJOYING THE ROADS!!..

=_=

Give me a new Camaro to test. The TRUE test IMO is M52 through Owosso. That little stretch is just......I have no words to describe it.

yeah no, Man I was driving back at home in Flint and those roads have to be the worst in the State. I mean damn even a hummer would fall apart.

But the worst stretch of highway now that needs to be fixed is US 23 the whole run from where 96 lets you onto 23 until after you past Fenton. If you guys have driven that road you know what I'm talking bout. Only road I have ever seen that looks like it had aids..
