I really like the center mounted muffler. Have not seen many of those on Camaros. Did you do that in order to retain the ZL1's factory rear mufflers or to quiet the car or what?

My guess is, quiet the car. Putting headers on the ZL1 with the way it has the muffler bypass open at idle makes it really effin loud!

It stands to reason that anytime you remove factory cats your
Volume level will increase on any GM platform.

We know all to well that the ZL1 is much louder
than any other.

To make this customer HAPPY we choose to
add additional dampening to the exhaust with little
to no ill effects.

The car sounds perfect!

Andy, what, if any, negative impact does the addition of the center muffler have on back pressure? I assume the magnaflow muffler is fairly free flowing.

It is a straight through X pipe design, has no baffles to restrict flow.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. With punched cats I need to look into this. A bit loud for my taste now.
