L99 burnout problem

not what you are thinking, with 700+ miles on mine today I decided I would see how easy it is to spin the tires, I dropped it down to M mode and put it into competition mode and power braked it, nothing, bogged terribly, so I pushed the TC button and shut off competition mode, it roasted them
I let off after about 3 seconds and proceeded to leave about 75' of black stripes behind me

Now the problem

well it probably burned about 1,000 miles of rubber off of the tires and threw rubber all over both inner quarters just like a muscle car should

just a FYI if you guys are wondering like I was, yes it will do it and tires can get expensive quickly!

Sorry I dont have pics but I just intended to turn them a little not roast the piss out of them

Once yoiu turned TC off did you power brake again? For me to lay rubber I need to power brake to ~2,200 rpms.

You know what they say. Smoke em' if you got em'

Could you roast em' without the brake? Just punch the throttle and spin the tires?

I was able to do the brake stand and turn mine but it won't without the brake.

There are very few factory automatic cars of any type that will roast the tires by just nailing the throtle. Power braking is the only way esspecially with the new Camaro, it is built with traction in mind.
If you are spinning the tires while racing you are just wasting time. The Camaro vs the GT500 video is a perfect example but the GT500 higher horsepower takes over once the tires stop spinning.
