I don't always gas up cars, but when I do it's z/28 #126 in preparation for delivery

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up (and maybe brag a little) about z/28 #126 being on the road. This is the second limited issue Chevy I've sold, the other being Stingray Premier Edition #310.

A/C = Yes
Radio = Yes

Anyway... here's the pics!

They did make 500 Premier Edition Stingrays. The were all Laguna Blue with the cocoa brown suede interior and a numbered badge just North of the shifter. The one I sold was a manual actually the first Stingray I delivered.

Here it is the night I pulled it into the showroom at the dealership I've since left. It was sold about 13 hours later.

Too funny! I'm keeping that nickname.

Thanks again Mike for the painless sale. I am enjoying the hell out of the car. Here are some fancy shots of the car from the last couple weeks.

It handled really well at autocross last weekend. Signed up for more autocross and a track day at the end of August. Currently running Hankook RS3's to stay in the street tire categories.

Everyday Driver on YouTube expressed interest in reviewing the car in a few months, so there's something to look forward to!

Tim the car looks amazing in the fancy shots, and I can sleep better knowing it's already seen track duty. Congratulations again!

Don't forget to post some video. I know you're sticking a GoPro or two on it, you can even borrow mine.

I have a question. Why does the Z/28 not have anything RS on it? HL and TL to be specific? if you're paying that much for a car..why not give it those two atleast

They pulled everything off the car they could legally without having to do additional crash testing.

The intention was build the best Camaro track car possible and still have it pass all Fed and State mandates.

It's not the best choice for most people, and certainly not a wise choice as an only car.

My guess is that the LS7 engine was used not only due to it's low weight, but because it's best RR prepped engine in GM's current street arsenal, derived from the C5R project that dominated endurance racing. The engine is used untouched in the Z/28.R program, except IIRC, with a restrictor plate to limit output.

While they could not sell a true C5R engine in a street car, it is still capable of reliable endurance operation at 650 crank HP with camshaft and manifold changes. Without restrictors, the C5R could run at 720HP.

While it is certainly no lightweight at 3820lb, the V6 stripper base model with small tires is 3720lb. When you consider the V6 engine and trans are very light already, and both have 4 seats, and the Z is wider with huge tires with a larger radiator, and differential and trans coolers, plus extra 200mph rated aero parts added to it, it's quite the engineering feat.

To do that, they had to remove all that was unnecessary.
