I am priority 1 & ordered 10/13 like most of you. I do have a garage; however, if I get the car before April, I offered to leave the car on the showroom floor with velvet ropes around it. Being in the Northeast, there is still a TON of salt on the road and a very good chance there will be snow until the end of April.

Did you ask for any cash? I was thinking about doing the same because i dont want to be driving my car in the salt and sand that they dump here, as long as i get the velvet ropes to, then i woudlnt mind leaving it there for some extra cash.

Apparently someone here is actually getting that deal. Im sure there are some dealers who would agree to that seeing as they wont have any in stock for a little bit of time

I doubt it - if a dealer wants a car for the showroom, an order will be entered in someones name (employee, etc...), and they'll get one....and it will sell, and cost that dealer nothing.

Yeah, I would want my car the day it arrived. I will buy it, but not anytime soon.

A friend of mine baught an audi S4 one of the only ones in the area. they kept it 3 days for "dealer prep" and sat it OUTSIDE on their lot in the center position of their display with a sold sticker on it. .... i'v have went down and repo'd my own car... It's nice that GM gives us an option.

However, some dealerships (like mine) hasn't bought one for themselves yet. And I was the first order, so hopefully mine will be one of the first to arrive. You'd think that they would consider the option since my car will be one of the first to arrive.

It's nice that GM gives us an option. __________________ 2001 Corvette Heads,Big cam, 4:11, Custom Exhaust, MGW Shifter Baer Eradispeed +2 2 pieces rotors, Hotchkiss swaybars. and a few other little things. 1998 Trans Am A4 ( was STS turbo until the turbo and oil pump died) 2000 WS6 Trans AM under the knife ( sadly turned into long term project.
