1LE kit per Al O.?
Hey all. I added this to general as it really applies to us all. Did anyone else pick up on that video I watched here yesterday when Al O. alluded to a kit to upgrade to 1LE? Any insight to be had on when, how much, how all-inclusive, etc.? I would be really interested.
I'm guessing we'd just be looking at sways and bushings vs. wheels, trans., gears, spindles, bearings, etc. Thoughts? |

Original Disciples video?
I've asked before. I'll ask again. Anyone know where we can find the original video where the disciples laid eyes on the first real cars? It seems like Chevy buried it...
I'd like to see it again. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEW THREAD. CAN'T DELETE THIS POST, EITHER. BROWSER ERROR. SORRY. Last edited by chef-beavis; 10-12-2012 at 01:15 PM. Reason: SCREWED UP |

If it were a complete kit the cost would be absurd to have done through the dealer. One would be better off trading in their car and buying a 1LE. Or simply going aftermarket. The combined package price for the 1LE option is a steal from the factory. The front splitter alone is in the $700 range.

Agreed, but...
Some of us were not in a position to click that box. I'm also in no position to do a different car. Again. 2013 slated for next week's production.

Just the cost of the wheels/tires and front splitter from the dealer probably cost more than the 1LE option.

I caught that in the video also. Guess we will have to wait until it is officially announced. I'm interested in it for my 2010 SS, we'll just have to hurry up and wait.

Probably right after they have the passenger power seat kit ready for the '10s.

If the '1LE kit' exists at all (highly unlikely, IMHO) I'm guessing its just wheels, tires and sways from the 1LE, especially if its supposed to sell for around $3500. Add another $1000 if the dampers are included.
It would seem foolish to try to package & sell a kit that retrofits *every* 1LE component to a non-1LE car. A retrofit kit that had *every* piece of the 1LE would be closer to $10,000 in parts. |

It be much more cost effective to go aftermarket. It'll interesting to see if this exists and what it consists of.

Kits look pretty all-inclusive to me, even if they are seperate kits to address how far one wants to go. I think the suspension parts kit really looks like a winner, dependent on pricing.

just can't get enough

For a robust suspension, this track pack kit should do it
