Thank you for all the info and help. I am super excited and can't wait to be a Dad. I had some doubt w. a camaro and a new born. The family car would be a 03 toyota corolla. My wife loves my chevy and I'm sure the baby would take road trips in my chevy. I will look into all above metioned seats. Thank you

It's a PITA for a rear facing car seat. Not to mention your wife/gf CAN'T be more than 4'11. Hope she's a midget otherwise she won't be comfy. Rear facing takes up a WHOLE lot of space.

Congrats man! Just had my first daughter 2 days ago, running on virtually no sleep mode right now. Enjoy the sleep while you can. And that's not just a dumb cliche everyone will tell you, I'm learning that right now lol. The wife has a car seat in her CTS and so far nothing in my camaro. Actually it's at the shop having 3.91's installed
Subscribed to see what everyone suggests ... Suppose I'm in the market for one now

This one for my niece. Fits snug and doesn't leave marks in the leather when you take it out. Its adjustable for a few ages. Think it was like $80.
Do not use on driver side though because you will have to adjust your power seats a bunch. It says safety 1st on it. Not sure if that is the brand. |

My wife and I are due in June. We bought an Eddie Bauer travel system that comes with an infant seat. I test fit it in the Camaro rear facing, and it required the passenger seat to be fully forward and straight up and down. No recline. In other words, my wife and baby won't be able to ride in the car at the same time. Looks like my wife's Kia Sorento will be our family vehicle till the kid can be front facing.

The graco rear facing seat fit easily in my camaro. It is the snug-ride 35. To put the carrier into the base i had to push the passenger seat all the way forward. Then put the carrier handle down from top center and it would slide easily in and out the opening. Not hard at all. Now taking her out of the carrier while in the car is a pita, but possible. My wife is 5'5" and could sit comfortably in the front seat also.
