2011 RS (Non convert) windows leak (back side of window where door opens at) when we go through the brushless auto wash. Service Manager tells me that is because of the design and theres nothing that can be done. Should I go to another dealer??

Probably not worth your time, it's true that it is due to the design. The Window basically sits on a piece of foam, the only thing that is needed to breakthrough that is pressure and a car wash would have more than enough of that. My window gets soap in it from the car wash but it is really more of an avoidance thing than anything.

No leaks at all here. I only hand wash my car and would never even dream of taking it to an automatic car wash , but it still shouldn't leak.

Mine dont leak under normal circumstances.. but if I was to put high pressure water along the window seals it is likely some water would get in. These arent typical window seals like in most other cars since they have no top frame. If I need to use high pressure water I am just careful near the windows.

The service manager told her that there was not a car on the lot that wouldn't leak at a car wash. What?? I mean she doesn't hold the wand right against the window. Never had a car that did this.

They finally ordered a new weather strip for it, I am not sure if its the strip or the window. We will see when it comes in.

Has anybody else had a leaking window?? Or do all of the Camaros do this?

Thanks,
If you have a chance ask that bozo [SM] if the money that he took from you to pay for the car also leaked , if not, you just tell him that you want the car in the same condition , no more no less! I start to hate BOZOS !!!

I can't see how it could be leaking just do to the design of the vehicle. The only thing I can think of is your window is not indexing properly/going all the way up tight when you open and close the door.

I have been to a couple of car washes, and no leaks! If it still leaks after the weather strip is put on, and the dealer tries to pull anything saying it is what it is. Call customer service!

Ask for the that idiot dealers explanation in writing and send a copy to GM. He will change his tune.

After the weather strip was replaced it fixed the problem on mine. Make the dealer replace it!!

These cars should NOT leak...no holes in the roof. I guess if I get one, I will drive it through a car wash first to see if I need to wear a bathing suit when it gets washed.
Your post brought back fond memories of the many times I drove through the high pressure touchless car wash in the vert I owned and ended up being trapped inside the car while the water leaked around the window and roof seals into the seats and soaking my arse. lol

Thank goodness Caspers high and dry.................
