Camaro Exhaust w/ in cabin switch

My dealer described installing a catback system with an incabin switch to turn the sound on and off for around 1600.00.

Does anyone know what system they're talking about? Is it any good in terms of less restrictive airflo? How does it sound?

The sales person was going to check with her parts department and get back with me but I don't want to wait until tomorrow plus I appreciate everyone's opinion here.

Thanks guys!

I believe the switch is for cutout/diverters.

They open a hole in the exhaust before the mufflers so the exhaust becomes much louder, probably "turning on the sound" in the cabin.

I don't think anyone makes an exhaust where you can turn sound on or off with a switch.

Forgive me, I didn't mean the car would have no sound, just that the exhaust would go from relatively conservative to aggressive.

So does anyone have any experience with this type of a system?

No weeds is one manufacture and in my opinion is way over priced $800 ( I did not pay that much for my cat back) there are others out there. Do some research. Here is one for example http://www.dmhperformance.com/photogallery.htm

My first thought was cut-out. But it could be some type of butterfly system that they use on the Z06, like the B&B exhaust?
