Performance Shops in OKC

Would like to start a comprehensive list of performance shops in the OKC area that are recommended by members.

I have been using Extreme Horsepower in Dallas (great shop) and am wondering what might be available here.

Mike

XP Racing... have not personally used them but Brett is a member and sponsor of the forum OKGMP.com, I have heard nothing but excellent comments about the shop. Check out the forum at OKGMP.com

I hate to say but Brett is way overpriced. He quoted me 7 hours and $450 labor to install header and cat. He does not carry parts but orders through Texas Speed (that is who told him how much to charge for headers and cats). I have been to his shop and talked to him personally. I am not knocking the guy just saying he is overcharging in the labor dept. Mike I think Extreme quote around $200 and 2 hours of labor correct?

I believe he is the only Performance shop in OKC that works on our cars as well.

CooP- Looks like Texas Will continue to get my money. Yeah that is straight labor theft if he is charging that much for headers. Extreme charged me 2 hours.

That is what I thought. I mean you can talk to him (do not mention me) and ask how much he charges. I might hit him up again and see if he has come down but this info is 2 months old at the most.

Nope. I have been digging out. I am not in a big hurry. I really do not feel like doing myself.

Yea like I said I have never used him just going off of word of mouth. I do most of my own work I hate to have others touching my car. So do not know about labor. Was going to have him dyno mine but have not had a chance to get it up there.

Not sure if you were directing this question to me, but yes-I had kooks headers, and HF cats installed. The tune was worth the every penney, tuner turned off torque management (A6 Tranny) and programed some higher shift points.

Final numbers on the tune were 367 hp 402 tq corrected. Over 60 gained on both side versus the base.

It didn't matter it looked like both of you were doing headers and cats, is that RWHP? Stock i thought was 426hp not for sure what would be lost through drivetrain but i would think your hp should be higher. I am wanting to get a dyno done before I start adding anything to mine so I know what my actual numbers are from stock.

Well-Bret from XP just e-mailed me, I asked him for a quote on a TV2300 installed and tuned. He said he just did one and would send me something Monday. Also said he would be interested in doing another one.... I told him to shoot me an estimate, and if he was close to what I know it's worth- we can proceed with references.

Also said that I would get between 450-500 rwhp, 450???

Anyway-I am pleased with the Extreme HP in Dallas, but thought I would see if there was a shop local. I am betting that XHP will get my money again.
