Its sound pressure inside the cabin at 1500-2100 rpms. My ears are constantly bothered by it and i usually lower the windows to reduce the issue. I decided to order the VT mufflers first because i want to overall sound lowered for when my daughter is in the back seat. I will have control of the sound with my right foot.

I have the Dynomax Bullet catback. I was thinking of doing j-pipes because the drone was causing me headaches, but I swapped my stock airbox in and it reduced a lot of the drone. I'll add some sound deadening material in the trunk and a j-pipe someday, but for now, this works well enough. Also helps if you can keep your car out of that 1600-2000 rpm range while cruising.

They VT will be much quieter all around than our Bullet system. At cruise no drone.

Im ok with it being quieter all around. I have a small kid who loves to ride in the car. I need to give you guys a ring to find out what part number will fit in place of the bullets.

Just put a Dynomax resonated x pipe in the place of your current x pipe. Trust me. It will fix it. I have no cats with long tubes and the resonated x pipe fixed my drone.

The Dynomax bullet drones very very hard on an LS3 or L99 in 8 cylinder mode...it's just the nature of the beast with that exhaust. tuning won't fix it.

OP, I see you're in Berlin, I'm in Manchester. I had that exhaust and sold it for the same reason as you...I'd literally have a headache and my ears would feel all messed up if I drove the car for more than 15-20 minutes. It's still not great with the Kooks exhaust, but it's better than it was.
