People, look at her title: Product Manager. It does not say Vice President. It does not say President. It does not say Chief Executive Officer. Things can CHANGE people! Just because there isn't a plan RIGHT NOW doesn't mean there won't be one LATER.

I'm willing to bet GM has plans for the Z28 coming out within a year after production. It will probably be the rumored "Top Dog" with the detuned ZR1 LS9. Come on lets think about it.....Caddy has the CTS V....They'd be crazy to invest that motor into the CTS and not the Camaro as well.

The problem is though, why don't they just state that.....

Maybe it won't be called a Z28?

I'll just have a Z/28 badge fabricated for myself and stick one on the decklid. Small and inconspicuous, and about the size of the SS badge, but it'll be there

Not knowing there will be one cause problems for me.

Assuming there will be one, causes problems if there isn't one.

You see the dilema?
Buy an SS, then when the Z28 comes out, sell it.

I am still hoping that a Z28 will be made to battle the very ugly, sad puppy dog looking car that ford lovers call a gt500. When it comes to buying the SS now, or waiting a year for the a HOPEFUL Z28, just remember that if you have enough money to buy the z28 a year down the road then you probably have enough money to buy the SS, and trade it in for the z28 later. I don't see a problem...

Buy the SS now, allow GM to sell a ton of camaros,,,,If the Z28 comes out, TRADE IT IN! Then people like me who are waiting for a used SS can buy it, thus GM will sell more camaros...Thus we are all happy, And Camaro will live on...

do you realize that with an ss your getting 400 hp!!!

thats insane lets not get too greedy

not to mention the freakin v6 has as much as the last gen z28 and ss's

if anybody should be complaining its us convertible buyers...

2010??? are you serious....!!!
Yes, however, my 3600 lb. makes about 400 FWHP (it put down 366 RWHP on a dyno'.) SO... the reason I want more power is because the new car, with it's 3700+ lbs. is going to not feel my faster. I'm not deminishing the 2010 is WAY better in like every way to my '02, but I was expecting more. I'm not sure if you've driven many fast cars (and I'm sure you have) but I love the rush of acceleration from monster power, and 430 is just not going to do it in a almost 4000 lb. car. Sorry. I don't have a problem with waiting, just that she says one thing and someone else says another.

That's why I want a Z28 - over-and-out.

Personally I'm with this LS/LT crap. I don't care if all other regular chevy models come with that, it's rediculous IMO as a previous Camaro owner and still enthusiest. Why not just say RS vs. having an RS package? Corvette is not LS/LT/ZO6 is it?

Sorry, just venting a little.

you always end up losing a lot of money when you do something like that...and then if you finance it you might be upside down on your loan...

thats always unpleasant

there nothing like stepping in a monster and feeling the power coming off an LS Cobalt... getting in an SS will dilute that feeling, thats not to say I wont test drive one when an SS comes available though.
