Unhappy Brake Squeaking

I don't know why my brakes squeak whenever I hit them. Chevy said that everything in the car was fine.

Could it be because I leave my car outside?

Hmmm...LS I'm not sure. I know it's normal for Brembos to squeak. Not sure what kind of breaks are on the LS's.

How many miles are on them?

Probably brake dust on them. Spray em down really good with the hose.

Brake cleaner, if that doesn't work try the anti squeal from the auto parts and hand sand the brake pad to take off any glazing.

The noise is from the brake pad steel backing plate vibrating against the caliper piston and it's "singing"

A lot of people think it's the pad itself against the brake rotor, totally incorrect.

I changed my pads a few mounths ago with ceramic pads, they stop good with no brake dust at all, but they squeak real loud when i back out of my driveway in the morning, and it's driving me nuts

Brembo's with new EBC redstuff pads and it sounds like metal on metal.

The v6's suffer from break squeaking.

Angry

The squeaking has done me in! If they don't get it fixed today at the dealer, car will be gone.

Have an awesome car and they can't put breaks on it so it does not sound like some POS...give me a brake! (Pun intentional)

You can try some high temp brake lube on the pins that hold the pads (but don't get any on the pads).

The first thing to try is to burn off any glazing the pads may have. Get up to highway speed and brake hard/very firm all the way down to a near stop - repeat three times quickly. Try this before you look for more complicated solutions. Might not be your answer, but a free fix if it is.

I am a huge fan of Racing Brake products. I am squeek free and have been for thousands of miles. Less dust than stock and better performance. I am running their ET500 pads. I am running them on RB rotors, but see no reason they would not be fine on the stock rotors. Give them a call.
