Do you think we will see a Special Edition ZL1 the final year of the 5th gen?

I am wondering if you guys think we will see a Special Edition package or the current ones like Hot Wheels Transformers and Dusk fully integrated within the ZL1 by the final model year of the 5th Gen.

My guess is MY 15 possibly 16

As for it being special enough not really... I would like an additional package to be included which would motivate people like me to buy it in its final model year while retaining some appeal with the 6th Gen replacing it the next year.

yeah for sure. im thinking MY 15. i think GM will go all out with the final year for the 5th gen regarding the ZL1. i think youll see a big horsepower increase, and some bells and whistles added to the car. i honestly dont know if we will ever see a 6th gen ZL1. with the way the economy is, and how hard it is to produce powerful, unefficient cars....you never know. 2015-2016 is a long time away. things can change quick. If they do go ahead with the ZL1 it probably will be even more limited production

That dude Keeks on the Corvette forums is a bit annoying. He said veiled stuff regarding the LT4 in the Camaro which conflicts some information I was given regarding a power increase not coming this generation than subsequently refused to clarify his statements.

I certainly would be very pleased with a power increase in the ZL1 but at the same time I don't see it happening but than ofcourse Ford brought in the new 600+ Mustang just in time for the new Mustangs.

I hope they offer a unique special edition the final model year. If they increase the power that would be a nice addition as well.

As for the car not making it into the 6th Gen it's been clearly stated by General Motors they have plans for it so I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding the economy. Despite popular belief not everyone is hurting financially in this country.

They will most likely do something to entice buyers in the last year or so. BMW makes a "competition package" during the last couple years of a M3 generation. My last M3 was a competition package (2005 E46 zcp). I liked it more than the body style that was going to proceed it so it worked out good for me. I wish I still had that car.

The look is good for the 5 th. I see no need to fix someting that is not broken.
Why change what is selling? They did that with the 4 th that did not do as good as the 5 th

No special ZR-1 this year.....these cars are special enough and The General does not seem to have a hard time moving them.

I could see a special edition if enough units sell during the generation.

Probably something simple though, perhaps a special color, special hood, perhaps special wheels, and perhaps an individual number.

Maybe enough to get me to upgrade hahah
