Thought I would show this thread some love:
According to Doc the stock lug nuts are 3.14lbs. I bought the acorn black gorrila lug nuts from Apex and they weigh a total of 2.4lbs. Not that great of a weight diff but thought I would share. |

Thought I would show this thread some love. Upgrade to some sway bars last week and thought I would post the weight diff in here:
Stock Rear Sway and bushings: 4.96lbs Stock Front Sway and bushings:6.78lbs LSR Rear Sway and bushings: 8.0lbs LSR Front Sway and bushings: 7.58lbs I also upgraded to the pfadt trailing arms and outer bushings and I don't remember the exact weights but that saved me another 0.94lbs. |

I see you got the ss driveshaft at 24lbs. Anyone got the v6 driveshaft weight? The same?

23.15lbs for the v6 stock driveshaft (weighed it myself when I swapped it for a DSS one)

The v6 one for the SS rear end actually weighed 2lbs more. However I still did feel a difference in responsiveness of the car, especially after gear changes. |

Do they have different options for the V6 of whether you change gears or not? Like is there a V6 virgin with a V6 rear end I'm assuming that might be lighter

Since I upgraded my rear end to the SS rear end with 3.91s I had to specify that. You can get your basic driveshaft for the v6 through them.

Nice write up OP.. I wish someone would do a full all out sheet for the v6 and v8 weight chart vs after market or mod parts. I really am gonna take the fire wall insulation out now after seeing its 2.8 pounds of ugly. Do you know what the metal bumpers behind the plastic covers weigh. I plan to mod them to something lighter like aluminum..
