HP tuners. It's pricey, but worth it.

Efi live and HP tuners are what the pro's use. They are just the "tools" needed, but they are not gonna tune your car for you, you still need to know what your doing to actually do the tuning.

If there are no great tuners on your island for a custom dyno tune then I would get a remote tune from someone like Jannetty.

You can do a remote Hptuners tune with us as well! Learn from our changes and you will not be locked out of making changes yourself!

IMO, tuning is like brain surgery....unless you have taken the time to get trained/experienced on how to do it, it is not a good idea to do it yourself. Bad things can happen to your car with an improper tune.

Dyno tunes are arguably the best but remote tunes are very good and popular as well. If you dyno tune, make sure you can get a copy of your stock files and then have a way (device) to put it back if you have to without having to go back to the tuner.

Popular tuners for the dyno shops are HP and EFI. They have more software/hardware to work with the dyno but I am pretty sure you can buy a portable unit to adjust parameters (if you know what you are doing) and put your stock files back if you have to.

Popular among the remote tuners are SCT and Diablo (you can use HP and EFI as well). As you will read throughout this forum, Jannetty is one of the more popular remote tuners but there are others (Tampa Tuning, PCM of NC, etc.) that offer this service as well.

Hello and Welcome!

I have Several Customers in Hawaii currently so I am Positive I can help you with a custom JRE tune for your combination.

The SCT device is best as it stores your stock files on the device for returning to stock, It will read and clear codes, it can do some of the required special functions, and is a very powerful data logger all in one unit, when combined with a laptop.

You will get the Best Support Available in the industry with JRE, and the most experience with the Gen5 Platform.

I am over 1500 Gen5 Camaros alone, So tuning your car will be a walk in the park on a sunny day.

Once I have tuned your car, Purchase your parts from JRE and Tune updates are for those parts are FREE, again Unmatched Support with JRE.

Ted.
