These were from Maryland Speed. They had the best price. Now I think I know why they were cheaper. I didn't know there were 2 styles. I was pissed that the coating had to be messed up.

The new style supercedes the older version and was supposed to be changed months ago back in 2012. You should call Kooks directly; they're friendly and helpful.

That shouldn't happen at all. you can tell if the wires are on correctly when you feel and hear a click.

I know! I wish I could figure this out. I've triple checked them snapping on the plugs.

Good to know. I was going to get mine coated to help with underhood temps, I will now wait until after install to verify any fitment issues and then remove and get them coated next winter. That spark plug wire thing would drive me bonkers.
